Get ready for the Dispensation of God’s Spirit

Dispensational pessimists depict this present evil age as us being in the final stages of self-destruction. Dispensational optimists depict this world as getting better and better through political and spiritual reforms. But the Dispensational realist understands what the bible stated so articulately: This world will become increasingly evil, but…where sin abounds then God’s grace will much more abound.

When evil explodes within the hearts of men, God’s Holy Spirit will also explode a fresh outpouring of God’s grace which will result in a fresh and powerful revival of faith, outpouring of the Spirit, and a harvest of souls.

James 5:7 Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. —KJV

What is God up to?  God is getting people ready for Him to save.  God is preparing the earth for its final harvest.

Joel 2:23 Rejoice, you people of Jerusalem! Rejoice in the LORD your God! For the rains he sends are an expression of his grace. Once more the autumn rains will come, as well as the rains of spring. 24 The threshing floors will again be piled high with grain, and the presses will overflow with wine and olive oil. 25 The LORD says, “I will give you back what you lost to the stripping locusts, the cutting locusts, the swarming locusts, and the hopping locusts. It was I who sent this great destroying army against you. 26 Once again you will have all the food you want, and you will praise the LORD your God, who does these miracles for you. Never again will my people be disgraced like this. 27 Then you will know that I am here among my people of Israel and that I alone am the LORD your God. My people will never again be disgraced like this. –NLT

The final refreshing which the Spirit of God shall give upon the earth, I believe will be the grand finale before the rapture of the church.

Amos 9:13 “The days are coming,” declares the LORD, “when the reaper will be overtaken by the plowman and the planter by the one treading grapes.
New wine will drip from the mountains and flow from all the hills.
14 I will bring back my exiled people Israel; they will rebuild the ruined cities and live in them. They will plant vineyards and drink their wine;
they will make gardens and eat their fruit. 15 I will plant Israel in their own land, never again to be uprooted from the land I have given them,” says the LORD your God. —NIV

What is God doing?  God is positioning His people Israel to recognize that they need their Messiah…and Christ is getting the political stage of the earth set so He can make His return back to earth.

Today is the day of God’s Holy Spirit preparing the Bride and Israel for Christ’s return.  Get ready.

When?

When will we? When, if not now? Today?  Tomorrow?  Next week?  Next month?  Next year?

We procrastinate. We wait for someone else to do it. We give a little in the offering to buy escape from feelings of guilt. We have learned to shut off the soft voice inside, urging us to act. We sit back and listen…we nod…and then in Christianese, we say, Amen, to a word we never intend to keep. And as we wait, men, women, boys and girls plod on toward a dreadful fate.

People, who would have listened to a friend if they had one. People, who were lonely and vulnerable and looking for answers, while the answer holders hid themselves. People, who were desperate but too embarrassed to ask for help, while people who promised to be helpers…sat silently by watching them march on.

One by one they say goodbye, hoping that we will stop their desperate departure…while we wave goodbye.

Tears fall in heaven; people fall into hell; the Church shouts; while the preacher preaches to a sleeping crowd.
The real message is, When?
